WHO ARE THE

SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS?

Seventh-day Adventists are a global family of Christians who hold the Bible as the ultimate authority, which is distinguished by its observance of the  the Sabbath, and its emphasis on the imminent Second Coming (advent) of Jesus Christ. We seek to share both our faith in God and the church's commitment to the betterment of all human beings. We approximately 21 million members worldwide. Our doors are always open to the community and to anyone who wishes to worship in one of our more than 151,000 Seventh-day Adventist congregations around the world.

OUR HISTORY

Learn how the Advent Movement of the mid-1800s led to the global Seventh-day Adventist Church. Here's how its rich history has impacted the whole world.

OUR MISSION

Make disciples of Jesus Christ who live as His loving witnesses and proclaim to all people the everlasting gospel of the Three Angels’ Messages in preparation for His soon return (Matt 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, Rev 14:6-12).

We hold 28 fundamental beliefs. In each teaching, God is the architect, who in wisdom, grace and infinite love, is restoring a relationship with humanity that will last for eternity.
